Although SQ18 is a new product line, we are able to provide practical advice to customers on planning due to our experience in assembling furniture.
With SQ18 Space Structure on board, we have started co-operation with system furniture manufacturers and carpenters. We are not replacing metal fabrication but we made metal more refine at places where it is needed.
In the past two months, we have learned to use Sketch up to assist our clients in their proposals. The entire 3D design structure can be uploaded and forwarded to the carpenter via smart phone.
There are four steps to assemble SQ18 Space Structure :
1. Sort items and check quantities
Sort the items first when you first open the package : group the different connectors and different length aluminium tubes (4 pieces/bundle) together. Compare the items and quantities with the order list.
2. Check the facing
Please pay extra attention to the facing of SQ18. If the structure is against the wall, the screw holes should be on the sides. If the structure is to be placed in the open space, the screw holes should be facing inward.
3. Trial assembly
It is recommended to first set up the side structure and connect the horizontal tubes. Do a trial assembly by not fixing all the screws. For visual above eye level, the screw holes should be facing up and for below the eye level, facing down.
4. Fixing screws
You can start fixing the screws after verifying that all quantities and sizes are correct . When fixing the screw, fasten about one-third of the screw using an allen wrench, make sure it is straight to avoid damaging the hex head. After which, you may use a power tool to continue fastening the screw. Do not use too much force to avoid stripping the internal hex head.
